Environmental & Public Health International

Environmental & Public Health International (EPHI) is a leader in drinking water training, with a focus on lessons from the Flint Water Crisis. Our training program supports efforts to improve drinking water quality and protect public health at the federal, state, and local levels.

We provide specialized training to federal regulators, state primacy agencies, and public water system operators—using real-world experiences from Flint to strengthen safe drinking water practices and help prevent future public health crises.

Our work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and our Lead Service Line Replacement Cost Calculator (LSLRCC) is recognized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for advancing safe drinking water equity, infrastructure resilience, and public health.

EPHI was founded by Anthony Ross, who brings over 12 years of experience with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As EPA’s Flint Safe Drinking Water Act Emergency Coordinator, he played a pivotal role in ensuring safe drinking water for the people of Flint during one of the nation’s most significant public health emergencies.
